ContoTrip 1.1 – photograph prices

Global Solutions Systems

A fuel price board, a menu, a parking tariff: the converter now reads prices off a photo and converts them.

Abroad the price is on a sign, not in an app. Version 1.1 turns that into a conversion: take a photo, tap a line, done.

What the AI reads off the sign

It picks up the heading of the sign, the currency, the country, the unit and the individual prices with their label and amount. On a fuel board that means the grades and their price per litre, on a menu the dishes, on a parking tariff the hourly rates. Decimals are kept in full – fuel is simply priced with three of them.

What you get

You see the prices it found as a list. Tapping a line copies that amount into the converter, where it appears in your home currency. The AI works out the currency of the sign from the symbol, the language or the country – “Ft” becomes HUF, “zł” becomes PLN.

What you need for it

The feature is part of ContoTrip Pro and runs through your own API key, the same one receipt recognition uses. Without a key the converter stays fully usable – you just type the amount yourself.
